Vegetables and Pulses Data - Trade and Prices by Category

Note: In 2025, the existing Trade and Prices by Category and Commodity dashboards will be replaced with a machine-readable file. A new visualization tool is under development.

These tables provide vegetable and pulses data by category (e.g. price, imports, exports, etc.) for fresh and processed products. Tables are updated as new information is available throughout the year (typically monthly). USDA, ERS previously published these data in conjunction with the USDA, ERS report Vegetables and Pulses Outlook (previously, Vegetables and Melons Outlook) and in the annual Vegetables and Pulses Yearbook.

The current release features monthly and calendar year U.S. imports and exports, average retail prices for selected commodities, and price indexes for commodities and commodity aggregates. For data not included here, see the Yearbook Tables.

U.S. Imports

• All vegetable and pulses (total value) and by commodity group:
  • Vegetables
  • Dry pulses
• Commodity-specific by market segment: Value, volume, and unit value
  • Vegetables (fresh, frozen, prepared and preserved, dried, juice, seed)
  • Dry pulses (dried, seed)

U.S. Exports

• All vegetable and pulses (value) and by commodity group:
  • Vegetables
  • Dry pulses
• Commodity-specific by market segment: Value, volume, and unit value
  • Vegetables (fresh, frozen, prepared and preserved, dried, juice, seed)
  • Dry pulses (dried, seed)

Consumer Price Indexes

• All food and fresh and processed vegetables
• Fresh vegetables
• Processed vegetables

 Producer Price Indexes

• All farm products, vegetables, and pulses
• Processed foods and vegetables
