Jordan W. Jones

Introduction

Jordan W. Jones is a research economist in the Food Assistance Branch of USDA, Economic Research Service’s Food Economics Division. His research focuses on Federal nutrition assistance programs with an emphasis on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Jordan’s recent work focuses on the drivers of SNAP participation and program spending and on variation in Federal and State-level SNAP policies.

Education

Jordan holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in economics from Georgia State University, and a B.S. in economics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Jordan is a member of the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA), the Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management (APPAM), the Southern Economic Association (SEA), and the Midwest Economics Association (MEA).
