Briefly

Megan Husby is an Agricultural Economist in the Agricultural Policy and Modeling (APM) Branch of the Market and Trade Economics Division at USDA, Economic Research Service (ERS). As a member of the APM Branch International Baseline team, Megan’s primary responsibilities are researching and modeling the agricultural markets of foreign countries. Her research focuses on economic trends, policies, and trade issues for Europe, Eurasian, and Canadian markets.

Background

Megan joined ERS in 2020. Prior to coming to ERS, she was an Economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics. At the Bureau of Labor Statistics, she worked on a number of statistical programs that measure labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy to support public and private decision-making.

Education

Megan received an M.S. in finance and economics from West Texas A&M. She also holds dual B.A.s in economics and management from Texas State University.
