Briefly
Jessie is a research agricultural economist in the International Trade and Development Branch of the Market and Trade Economics Division at the USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS).
Background
Prior to joining ERS in 2023, Jessie was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Goettingen’s Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, in the Chair of Environmental and Resource Economics . In this research position, she was associated with the research training group “Sustainable Food Systems”. She has also worked as a policy analyst consultant for the United Nations’s Food and Agricultural Organization. Jessie’s research has primarily focused on the role of institutions and how the institutions affect agricultural value chains and agricultural productivity.
