Christopher Sichko

Introduction

Christopher Sichko is a research agricultural economist in the Conservation and Environment Branch of the Resource and Rural Economics Division.

Background

Christopher joined ERS in August 2021. Prior to joining, he completed a Ph.D. in Economics at Vanderbilt University in 2021. He also holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in History from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Christopher’s research interests center on understanding the economic implications of environmental shocks—such as economic adaptation, land use, and conservation. Specifically, his dissertation and current research focus is on the economics of migration and drought in the United States.
