Briefly

Angelica Williams serves as an agricultural economist in the International Trade and Development (ITD) branch of the Market and Trade Economics Division at the USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS). Angelica previously served as a market analyst with the Crops Branch—working on outlook, data products, and research related to the Feed Grains and Wheat Outlook programs—as well as contributing to those respective ERS reports. She also served as a member of the interagency commodity estimates committee that develops projections for the monthly World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report. Prior to joining ERS, Angelica was a genetic data analyst at one of the largest U.S suppliers of swine genetics, located in Nebraska.

Background

Angelica graduated from Oklahoma State University, with a Ph.D. in agricultural economics and a minor in statistics. She was a postdoctoral researcher and later worked as an instructor/director of the distance Master's of Agribusiness Management program—both at Mississippi State University.

During her time as a postdoc, her research focused on the areas of consumer economics, consumer preferences, and pet health insurance. The latter was a part of a research effort in collaboration with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

Ph.D. in agricultural economics and a minor in statistics, Oklahoma State University.
